Emma Bristow extended her series lead with a faultless performance at the second round of the ACU Womens and Girls trials championship on Sunday. The MRS Sherco team rider cleaned all ten sections on each of the 4 laps
Emma was presented with the famous Cotswold Cup, resurrected by Zona 1 MCC and the ACU Western Centre for the event. Bristow was a worthy winner of the cup which has featured most of trials’ great names down the years, starting with Bert Perrigo in 1933. The top two were some way ahead of the rest but clerk of the course Steve Saunders managed to plot sections for the Listers Toyota Trial that were suitable for all, with Katy Sunter losing only 34, and Jess Bown and Nikita Smith stuck together on 48.
After a disappointing third place on Saturday due to a mix up with times, Emma bounced back to a resounding win on Sunday in Andorra. With a dominant performance finishing on 13 points over yesterday’s winner Rebekah Cook, who finished on 34 points for second, with Sandra Gomez in third on 38.
Emma Bristow finished 16th in the Expert Class at Round#3 of the British Championship, while training hard for the upcoming Womens World Championship 1st round next weekend in Andorra.
Sherco’s Emma Bristow is the winner in the Women’s championship in this very wet round held at Tanvald, Czech Republic this weekend. More than 60 brave young riders and women coming from 14 different countries spent about 4 hours in the rain to fight on the very slippery rocks that the wonderful well known Tanvald’s forest offered.
