Thousands of spectators attended the Trials World Championships at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie Valley on Saturday. The event, which hosts motorcycle riders from throughout the world, including Japan, Great Britain, Spain and the United States, returned to North America for the first time since 2008. Trials riders attempt to guide their motorcycles over difficult terrain, including large rocks, trees and steep hills, without placing their feet on the ground.
The second round of the World Trials Championship was in the USA in Sequatchie, Tn. The riders had to negotiate 12 sections 3 times with a target time of 5 hours.
The field consisted of the top riders in the world who practice the discipline of trial.
Most of the sections were near water and had very slippery slopes which put the riders in a position to loose traction and fall at any moment. Because of these difficult conditions the results were very irregular and the positions in the classifications changed continuously.
There were many spectators in attendance on the first day but the attendance fell off a little on the second day. It was very apparent that Sherco is the brand of choice for the trials riders in the USA.
