…CCCa weekend update – Dougie, Emma, Mike..
Dougie Lampkin wins the Scott for the 4th time with a broken toe (4 wins not 4 broken toes) ….Emma Bristow finishes in 31st, only 5 places away from a silver spoon – very sought after. ….Mike Feiner takes the Expert win in the last CMA trial of the season at the ECTA Lion’s Head event. Tentative results below, to be confirmed once rider cards sorted. Fair weather friends missed a great event with sunshine, hail, and only a few drops of rain ..during the trial. The deluge was saved for setup the day before, and the drive home, so kudos to the ECTA club members for setup and checking, and event hosts Clive and Elaine for their hospitality.

Thanks for attending the 1st Annual Corduroy Trial.
(presented by the Haliburton Trail Riders & Sherco Canada, with a shout out to Blair Sharpless for welcoming the trials fraternity). Special thanks to Trevor and family for persevering through the inclement weather, to setup what proved to be an excellent new location.

Next Trial. September 21st 2013, Corduroy – Gooderham ON.
The Haliburton Trail Riders in conjunction with Sherco Canada present the 1st AnnualCorduroy Trial on Sept 21st at 1585 Contau Lake RD., near Gooderham ON. Entry to the trial is free courtesy of Sherco Canada who hope to encourage new and regular riders, to check out this brand new location. Sections designed by Ex Canadian champ Trevor Howarth, aided by the Howarth trials clan of Travis and Paul, are sure to challenge even the most experienced Endurocross, or extreme event rider.

Take Hwy 11 North from Orillia to Hawkins CornerNeed directions? Please read very carefully…..
/South Sparrow Lake Rd Exit. (Goldstein Road Rd ramp
CR-38 – 2nd overpass after Webers Hamburger stand).
Follow arrows towards (but not as far as) Torys Landing.
After approx 12km the road turns to gravel so SLOW DOWN!,
then after 2km of gravel turn left on ORIMAT Rd
(Private single track road with lots of tight turns) for approx 4km keeping
left at each branch in the road. Look for a signed steep driveway ‘dropping’
off the road on the right hand side #7901. BUTLER with red triangle sign.
NB: Please park factory rigs and large trailers up top.
